Changes to Our EU Shipping Zones

As an independent studio hand-creating serigraphy art prints, we love sending our artwork to customers all over Europe. However, recent changes to European Union laws have forced us to make some difficult decisions regarding where we can legally ship our work.

Why Our Shipping Zones Have Changed

On August 12, 2026, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) went into full effect across all member states. While we fully support the goal of reducing packaging waste and building a circular economy, the new rules unfortunately treat all businesses the same—whether they are a massive multinational retailer or a single-person art studio.

Under the new regulations, we are now legally required to hire and pay a local "Authorized Representative" in every single EU country we ship to, just to handle the recycling compliance for our cardboard mailers and protective sleeves. Because the law does not include an exemption for micro-businesses, the flat annual fees for these agents cost hundreds of euros per country. This overhead makes it financially impossible for our small studio to maintain open shipping across the entire European Union.

Where We Currently Ship

To keep the studio sustainable, we've restricted our shipping zones. We are currently shipping physical prints to:
  • Denmark: Our home market.
  • Norway, UK, Canada, and the US: Markets outside the EU PPWR jurisdiction.

Looking Ahead

We're keeping a close eye on the regulations. The Authorized Representative requirement is currently the subject of heated debate in the European Commission. If the EU introduces sensible thresholds for micro-businesses in the future, we hope to reopen shipping to the rest of Europe.
